The aims of this project is to develop a Musical game. This musical game will have several stages and levels of game play. It is played using a musical keyboard. This musical keyboard is connected, to either the game console or the Computer being used to play the game. Cacophonia is a strategy game where one defeats obstacles by correctly playing notes; hence the game is a strategic game. The game's main aim and objective is to create a game that is educational to people who wants to learn to play the piano/musical keyboard hereby why playing the game the player learns to play the instrument better.
The game is practically applied Game consoles and computers for entertainment purposes. In common use a "PC game" refers to a form of media that involves a player interacting with a personal computer connected to a high-resolution video monitor.
There are two versions of Cacophonia out now, the first one has different levels of play and the second version is the lesson version.
This version of Cacophonia is the full version, it contains levels of gameplay. This game inspired the cacophonia project, which consists of a 3d model loader for different 3d model formats "Cacomodel", a Collision detection and response system "Cacophysics", and a library installer that installs the necessary tools to run Cacophonia "Cacoinstaller". The user interface is designed specially for Cacophonia and cannot be outsourced to other application as it is application specific.
The completed version of Cacophonia is in the level development stages, but the lesson version has been released to give you a taste of whats to come in the full genesis version of Cacophonia.
